Glossary term
Indica: “Indica” is a widely used consumer label for cannabis, often contrasted with “sativa”. In patient education, it is best explained as informal and imprecise rather than clinically reliable.
Why this term matters
Patients commonly assume indica predicts sedation or a particular medical use.
UK medical cannabis context
A UK education site should explain the term but not rely on it.
What not to assume
Those assumptions are not dependable enough for a medical-patient glossary.
Careful wording: Avoid medical advice framed as “use indica for…”.
