Reviewed for about-page governance and patient-led positioning. MCPH is a patient-led information site, not a clinic, pharmacy, prescriber, or emergency service.
MCPH is a patient-led UK medical cannabis information site. It exists to make the pathway clearer for people who are trying to understand medical cannabis prescriptions, clinic assessments, Summary Care Records, treatment forms, safety questions, and what to ask next.
The site is written from the perspective that patients deserve practical, accurate information. Medical cannabis is available on prescription in the UK for a wide range of conditions where a specialist clinician decides it is appropriate. That reality should be explained clearly, without making patients feel embarrassed for asking informed questions.
What MCPH is
- a practical guide for UK medical cannabis patients and people considering whether to ask a clinic
- a patient-first resource shaped by lived experience of the UK prescribing pathway
- a place to understand records, eligibility, appointments, costs, forms, risks, and follow-up questions
- a site that can link to tools such as Grams Left where they are relevant for already-prescribed patients tracking private prescriptions
What MCPH is not
- not a clinic, pharmacy, prescriber, broker, or emergency service
- not a promise that medical cannabis is right for everyone
- not a place to choose products as if it were an online shop
- not a substitute for specialist clinical assessment
How MCPH handles medical cannabis content
MCPH can be direct because it is patient-led. The guardrail is accuracy, not timidity. We do not promise outcomes or tell people what to use, but we do explain the pathway plainly and acknowledge why patients often look at medical cannabis after other treatments have not worked well enough or have caused problems.
High-risk topics, such as driving, medication interactions, mental health screening, pregnancy, fertility, side effects, and eligibility, are handled with a higher evidence and safety bar.
Transparency
MCPH may reference Grams Left where it is genuinely useful for prescribed patients managing and tracking their medication privately. Those links should be contextual, not forced into medical-safety or governance pages.
